The Meeting between the Association of Supporting Chinese Literature in HCMC and the Chinese Teachers Club

On the afternoon of August 21, Mr. Cô Gia Thọ, President of the Association; Ms. Lý Kim Thy, Vice President for Educational Affairs; and Mr. Hiểu Đông, General Secretary, held a meeting with Ms. Vương Quế Thu, President of the Chinese Teachers Club, and Ms. Lý Kim Ngọc, Standing Vice President of the Club.

During the meeting, Mr. Thọ expressed his desire to hear feedback and insights from Ms. Thu regarding the Association’s past activities as well as prospects for future collaboration. Both the Association and the Chinese Teachers Club share a common mission and purpose: to support teachers of the Chinese language and promote Chinese language education.

According to Ms. Thu, the Association has consistently supported the Club over the years in organizing various activities, including: Hosting teacher appreciation gatherings on Teacher’s Day, Awarding advanced Club members, Recognizing students who excelled in academic competitions, Honoring ethnic Chinese students who achieved national academic awards, Providing thematic professional training for teachers, Organizing teacher travel programs, and Sponsoring training costs for teachers serving as examiners for elementary-level certificates. Ms. Thu expressed hope that the Association would continue its support for these programs in the future.

Representing the Association, Mr. Thọ acknowledged Ms. Thu’s feedback and suggestions. He expressed a strong desire for the Association and the Club to maintain close collaboration and jointly implement programs. Both parties agreed to further discuss and explore practical topics and training workshops aimed at enhancing teachers’ skills effectively.

Mr. Thọ assigned Ms. Lý Kim Thy, Vice President for Educational Affairs and the Secretariat to review Ms. Thu and Ms. Ngọc’s suggestions, evaluate the Association’s budgetary capacity, and develop specific plans for collaboration on programs for the remaining months of 2024. The plans for 2025 will be prepared for submission to the Association’s Standing Committee for review and approval.
