The Association of Supporting Chinese Literature Meeting with the Leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training

On the morning of September 11, Mr. Cô Gia Thọ, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of Chinese Language Education, along with Ms. Lý Kim Thy, Vice Chairwoman, and Mr. Hiểu Đông, Deputy General Secretary, visited and worked with the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nguyễn Bảo Quốc, Deputy Director of the Department, Mr. Lê Duy Tân, Head of the Secondary Education Department, and Ms. Vương Quế Thu, a Specialist at the Department and Head of the Chinese Language Teachers’ Club.

Mr. Thọ introduced the Association and its future activities, expressing the desire for guidance and cooperation with the Department to implement programs that would bring practical benefits to teacher training, improve skills, and increase student interest in learning Chinese. He also expressed the wish to establish a school for teaching both Chinese and Vietnamese in the near future.

Ms. Lý Kim Thy shared the programs that the Association has supported for the Chinese Language Teachers’ Club. In the future, the Association will continue supporting the Club’s programs but with a focus on more practical activities. Specifically, the support for teachers will increase from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND per person, and student support will rise from 500,000 VND to 800,000 VND per student. An additional 100 million VND will be allocated to support the Club’s practical activities for the year. The total funding for the Chinese Language Teachers’ Club will be 280 million VND per year.

Mr. Nguyễn Bảo Quốc and Mr. Lê Duy Tân praised the contributions of the Association in recent years and introduced some of the annual activities the Department runs, hoping that the Association and businesses will continue to participate and collaborate.

Through this meeting, the Association had the opportunity to introduce its activities and operations to the Department, looking forward to closer guidance and cooperation in the future.
