The Project to Establish a Multi-Level School Teaching Vietnamese, Chinese, and English
In the near future, the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Supporting Chinese Literature will carry out various activities aimed at improving the quality of Chinese language teaching and learning in Ho Chi Minh City.
Enhancing the Quality of Chinese Language Education
Speaking at the 35th Anniversary Celebration of the Association, held on the morning of November 30 with the theme “Joining Hands to Advance Education,” Mr. Cô Gia Thọ, President of the Association, shared insights on the organization’s efforts. Over the years, the Association has consistently worked to enhance the quality of Chinese language teaching and learning by organizing activities to support teachers and encourage students to “Excel in Vietnamese – Succeed in Chinese.” These initiatives have contributed significantly to linguistic diversity and the city’s integration into global education.
According to Mr. Thọ, the Association will continue its efforts to improve the quality of Chinese language education in the city through several initiatives:
Collaborating with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training to organize professional development courses for teachers to enhance teaching quality and incorporate modern methodologies. Integrating information technology into the teaching process to create a modern and efficient learning environment. Awarding scholarships to students who overcome difficulties and achieve academic excellence. Recognizing and rewarding teachers for their dedication, fostering a positive educational environment that motivates both educators and students.
Additionally, the Association will organize various cultural exchange programs to strengthen connections and bring joy to the teaching and learning of the Chinese language.
During the program, the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Supporting Chinese Literature presented: 50 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Ethnic Minority Committee to support students from ethnic minority backgrounds facing difficult circumstances; 248 million VND to the Chinese Language Teachers’ Club to facilitate activities planned for the 2024-2025 academic year.; 20 million VND to the charitable fund of calligrapher Mr. Ô Dân Phát.
At the event, The Ho Chi Minh City Association of Supporting Chinese Literature was awarded the 35-Year Traditional Flag by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, recognizing its contributions to education and cultural preservation.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Tang Phuoc Loc, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Ethnic Affairs Committee, emphasized that this recognition reflects the Association’s relentless efforts in advancing education and safeguarding cultural heritage.
“Over time, the Association has continuously improved the quality of Chinese language education, nurtured generations of talented students, and contributed to preserving the cultural values of the Hoa community. This work has supported overall development and the training of high-quality human resources for society,” Mr. Loc shared.
